Love At La Paris Estate, Cape Town | EDIA & TUOYO

Cape Town is one of my top 5 favourite cities in the world and Coker Creative are one of my favourite Lagos-based planners. Edia and Tuoyo are a super sweet couple. I didn't get a chance to meet them before they booked me. So it was such a relief to find out they were totally my type of couple - super chilled and very much into each other. They wrote letters to each other before the ceremony and there were bets on who would cry on the day. But there were no tears come wedding day - a few close calls...but it was mostly just lots and lots of joy, laughter and fun...and of course a socially acceptable amount of drinking. 🙂

The couple also wrote their own vows which I love because to do so, you really have to sit down and think - why him / her? why now? what makes them perfect for me?!? I think the process really reaffirms the decision to get married and is just another opportunity to make your partner feel truly loved. I also love the idea of couples framing their vows and displaying them as a reminder of the promises made on a very special day.....but I digress. One of my favourite parts of Edia's vows was when Edia mentioned she wanted their future son to be just like Tuoyo and he responded with a genuinely surprised "Oh wow!", which of course cracked everyone up. I thought it was incredibly sweet and I'm here for this love story all day long. #blessed #happilyeverafter #DeeTee4eva
