Now this is one wedding I was really looking forward to. If you've followed me for a while, you know I'm a BIG fan of Gozie Coker of Coker Creative. We've worked together quite a few times on some of my favourite weddings like this one and this one and this one too....and once a bride tells me she's working with Gozie, I get excited because I know her vision is going to be beautifully executed. So when Gozie said she would like me to shoot her wedding - I was like - umm, yes please! <happy dance>...
And Gozie did not disappoint - not only did she look amazing, no surprise there. #beautifulontheinsideandout But she really spent a lot of time on the look and experience of the day to make sure her guests had a fantastic time, which they did! All my favourite vendors were out in full force doing what they do best and you could see how happy they were to be doing their part to help Gozie have her dream day. It is clear Gozie is dearly loved both as a person and as an amazing wedding planner, which is a testament to her hard work and fantastic attitude / demeanour / je ne se quoi. 🙂
Now for Mayowa...I actually can't talk about him without smiling. I only met him a couple of days before the wedding but to know him is to like him. He's probably one of the most genuine and thoughtful people I've met and this was clearly reflected in the speeches by friends and family. His speech also ranks in my favourite top 5 groom speeches because he is hilarious! Honestly I can't ever imagine these two ever having a boring moment - lol.
It was a highly emotional day for the family and it was lovely to see how close the families actually are. All in all, a wonderful day to celebrate wonderful people and I don't think it could have gone any better than it did. <3
Gozie and Mayowa - thank you so much for inviting me to document such a special union. You are indeed a blessing to each other. Like Mayowa said, may you always feel the way you do about each other now. God bless your marriage and the new home you are about to build together now and always. xxx
Thank you to my awesome partners in crime Kezie and Azeez for helping me on this one.
Enjoy the memories. 🙂
