Hola, cómo estás....part 2 of Toun & Lumi now fully loaded. If you missed Part 1 and you like to do things in the right order, then click right here to catch up (I'll wait for you - pinky promise!)...BUT if you like to live dangerously, order be damned, then let's get going. 🙂
This is one of the longest blog posts I've done in years but we really had a lot of fun on Saturday so I wanted to share it with you. Every time I shoot a wedding, there are 3 things I want to achieve (in no specific order) - beautiful decor pictures, romantic couple portraits and heartfelt candid moments and I love when it all comes together beautifully like it did with this wedding. #winning There are certain vendors I get excited about working with because i) I like them as people and ii) I know they will always execute the client's vision while bringing a fresh perspective to the final brief so it's not the same old look over and over again. Gozie Coker, event planner extraordinaire of Coker Creative and über talented event designer Tope Adelaja, one half of BTG Event Decor are two of my favorites to work with - they are professional, easy going, have great taste and never disappoint! Honestly, I've only ever heard my brides say good things about them and I'm not surprised. The ceremony decor was some of the prettiest I have seen in Lagos and the wedding day was thoughtfully co-ordinated with special attention taken to make sure the guests were involved and well taken care of.
Some of my favourite moments include when during the father/daughter and mother/son dances, guests were invited to join them with their daughters and sons respectively. Honestly I got a little teary (yes again! I'm a little bit big cry baby) seeing so many mothers and sons swaying on the dance floor.....as a mum with 2 boys myself, it was a lovely reminder that whether they are 6, 16 or 60, your baby will always be your baby. #familyiseverything
And once the program had ended, that's when the fun really started - dancing competitions, limbo and of course - party fave - musical chairs, which for the record got very competitive very quickly. #sabotage #stealingofchairs #iwontnamenames #butyouknowwhoyouare I don't think I have laughed so hard in a while, it really was a brilliant day. Bravo to everyone involved in planning this event - I'm not sure it could have gone any better. 🙂
So Mr & Mrs Morgan, the day we have long awaited has finally come to pass and two has finally become one. I am beyond thrilled for the both of you and while this journey called marriage isn't an easy one, it is a worthwhile, exhilarating journey with the right person by your side. God bless you and your marriage and now we can start teasing you about little Morgans. Love you guys. xxx
