So if you've spoken to me about my photography in the last 2 years, chances are you've heard me go on about Sue Bryce and how I would like to get into glamour photography focused on women. Although I talked about it a lot, I was actually doing very little to bring it to fruition for a number of reasons I won't bore you with right now.
Anyway, a couple of weeks ago, Ranti, owner of the fab vintage jewellry company MILLÉSIMÉ called me on a Friday evening saying she wanted a last minute shoot for Monday to celebrate her birthday. I was busy trying to figure out where we could shoot last minute, when I remembered my newly painted backgrounds I had just finished the week before. So I suggested Ranti come over to mine, confessing that I would be experimenting with her a little and fortunately she was open to trying something new and gosh am I glad she was.
I am so incredibly proud to share these images with you as this has been a long time coming. Lots of firsts in this shoot for me and I think Ranti totally rocked it. I am currently working on my studio, which should be ready in a couple of weeks and in the meantime, I am taking on select shoots to build my portfolio, which I will be sharing here and on Instagram.
At the heart of what I do, I want to help normal (aka non-model or model-like) every day women feel beautiful and celebrate that beauty. I will go into why I feel so passionate about celebrating women in a future post but for now, I really want to say a big thank you to Ranti for taking a chance on me and to everyone who has supported me so far.
I have only just begun but I am very excited about all the plans I have for the WOP Beauty line. One woman down, the rest of Lagos to go....lol.
Be sure to let me know what you think in the comments below and of course do check out Ranti's fabulous vintage pieces over on her website.
Bisous. xxx
p.s: that last image on the right is one of my absolute favs - doesn't Ranti just look like Superwoman ready to take on the world! Love it!!!
