DJ ATTE | VENDOR SPOTLIGHT

Happy new year! Lol - I'm pretty sure I can say that till the end of January. 😉 Hope 2016 is off to a great start for you.

First post of the year and I thought I would start off with a Vendor Spotlight! If you are new to the blog (welcome and thank you for stopping by), the Vendor Spotlight series is all about sharing some of my favourite vendors in the wedding and event industry who I have enjoyed working with. They are all super talented, professional and have great reviews from previous clients, which is why I feel comfortable sharing them with my lovely brides to be. This year we are starting off with DJ Atte aka Explosive DJ Atte. A man of many talents, not only is he a celebrity wedding and event DJ, he also turns the party up on Naija FM 102.7 every Saturday and in his spare time makes music. He released an album back in 2010 and his latest single "Swe Swe Bale" feat. Cynthia Morgan, Jumabee, Endia and Dezign was released last month.

So DJ Atte, how long have you been in the wedding business?

I've been in the DJ business for over a decade now and I've been Djing at weddings ever since

What got you interested in being a DJ at weddings? 

The wedding ambience and guests inspire me. 

Obviously, if a bride and groom were making a choice between hiring a DJ and a live band, you would recommend the DJ route. If you could give them only one reason to do so, what would it be? 

Song familiarity! DJs play exactly the music you have imagined for your wedding: your favourite songs by your favourite artists that sound exactly as you and your guests expect them to sound.  We, Djs, live for those moments when we hit the start button and immediately hear guests scream and say "I love this ", "that's my song" etc.

What is your favourite thing about working weddings? 

The excitement and delight from the couple and guests. 

What would you say makes you different from other DJs out there? 

My Professionalism -  I see every wedding event as an audition.  

What type of clients do you typically find yourself working with?

My work cut across all type of clients - I have many years of experience.

What main piece of advice do you have for brides & grooms who might be planning their receptions? 

By the special Grace of GOD, you will have just one wedding in your lifetime - plan well, employ the services of a wedding planner and engage professionals like myself to handle key areas of the event.

I'm a husband and father. I'm also a Media Consultant (Director - Marketing & Creatives, OJA Media ltd - in the business of radio, tv, music productions, PR and media marketing).
