I love what I do and it is a true blessing to be paid to pursue my passion. But something has been missing for me and after talking to a couple of fellow creatives, I realised it was personal work. In the flurry of client work over the last couple of years, I had forgotten to take time out to create for myself with no brief, no specific direction, just as the spirit moved me. I understand now the importance of having an outlet to just explore and I'm super excited about the different shoots I have lined up this year.
But first, let's start with something simple; when Maero of Swish Signature approached me about a bohemian bride style shoot on the beach, I jumped at it. My aesthetic is feminine, editorial and romantic and what could be more romantic than a beautiful sunset on the beach?!? We wanted something relaxed and to focus just on the bride and I approached this like I would a day after session with a bride who had had the most amazing day and just wanted to have fun in her dress at the beach. We had a great team and a special shout out of Michael of Nobis Photography for helping me out with the Behind the Scenes on the day and also saving my life as I almost toppled off the rocks - lol. #clumbsyasheck
For the photographers, gear used: Canon 5D MkIII, 50mm, 85mm for most of the pictures and then a little bit of OCF as the sun dipped towards the end.
