I love what I do and it is a true blessing to be paid to pursue my passion. But something has been missing for me and after talking to a couple of fellow creatives, I realised it was personal work. In the flurry of client work over the last couple of years, I had forgotten to take time out to create for myself with no brief, no specific direction, just as the spirit moved me. I understand now the importance of having an outlet to just explore and I’m super excited about the different shoots I have lined up this year.
But first, let’s start with something simple; when Maero of Swish Signature approached me about a bohemian bride style shoot on the beach, I jumped at it. My aesthetic is feminine, editorial and romantic and what could be more romantic than a beautiful sunset on the beach?!? We wanted something relaxed and to focus just on the bride and I approached this like I would a day after session with a bride who had had the most amazing day and just wanted to have fun in her dress at the beach. We had a great team and a special shout out of Michael of Nobis Photography for helping me out with the Behind the Scenes on the day and also saving my life as I almost toppled off the rocks – lol. #clumbsyasheck
For the photographers, gear used: Canon 5D MkIII, 50mm, 85mm for most of the pictures and then a little bit of OCF as the sun dipped towards the end.
We were super excited to have this shoot featured on Bella Naija Weddings and here are the list of people who made it happen:
