I've been blessed with some really lovely couples this year and Anu and Nosike were right up my lane; a super chilled couple who really just wanted to have fun on their wedding day (can I get an AMEN!). 🙂 Anu wasn't a posy sort of bride but she has the prettiest smile - the kind that just lights up the room - so I just loved shooting candids of her and Nosike is such a calm spirit - they really were a joy to shoot. Oh yeah, it didn't hurt that they are a good looking pair too. 😉 The couple were actually referred to me by another lovely couple and a previous wedding client, which I am always very thankful for. 🙂
The laidback couple got married at the Redemption Pavilion Parish in Victoria Island and then had a relatively small (I use that word loosely since we are in Lagos) reception at the bride's home also in V/I. There were lots of great little touches: I especially liked the ankara ties and pocket squares, by Rayo by L.Somoye, the fishbowls as centre pieces and the naked wedding cake, which isn't something I've seen done in Lagos. Then there's the after party, which from the little I saw was a crazy affair and didn't end till the wee hours of the morning. Mission accomplished!
A big thank you as always to Mr Deji Atte of Deji Atte Photography for helping me out as my second shooter.
Anu and Nosike, thank you again for inviting WOP to share your beautiful day and I know you will have an amazing life together. The best is yet to come! God bless you plenty plenty. 🙂
