Yay – so excited to finally get to share the full post from J and F's destination wedding in Washington DC, USA. This fabulous couple wanted to keep things simple and so started the day off with a first look, then had a beautiful, intimate ceremony at the Potomac View Terrace and the space was then transformed for the evening reception. Some weddings just make my heart smile and this has to be one of them. There were so many unique and personal touches throughout the day and it was all beautifully co-ordinated by the extremely talented Tabitha Roberts of Roberts & Co. Events. It was such a pleasure working with someone whose primary interest was making sure her clients had the perfect day - it's definitely worth giving Tabitha a call if you have an event in the DC / Virginia area.
Anyway, some of my favourite aspects of the day included J's dress (so sparkly!), the plantain wrapped in bacon canapé (delish!!!) and pretty much all the details of the day especially the framed hedge with the name tags. It would all have made Martha Steward proud. 🙂 As for the couple, well I've really lucked out this year - they were super chilled and very patient as I put them through their paces and the camera loves them, so I was one happy photographer. These may or may not be some of my favourite couple photos EVER! #imjustsaying 😀
Thank you J and F for inviting me to document the beginning of a new chapter in this awesome love story and I can't wait to start taking pictures of your babies (hee hee - sorry, had to be said!). Mwah!
