Ooh happy new year everyone. I didn't get round to doing a year in review as I had hoped, so will just have to save that for year end 2013. Instead we are gonna go straight back into beautiful wedding photography (yeah!).
So Vivian and Daniel were referred to me by a fabulous friend, who also happens to be Daniel's sister (thanks Adia :-)) and as they are based in the UK, we didn't get a chance to meet until the big day but that didn't stop us from getting some beautiful imagery. Daniel proposed to Vivian shortly after their 3 year anniversary and although the proposal was a big surprise to Vivian, she said YES (woohoo)! Spending time with them on their wedding day, it was clear that these two were made for each other and their joy and excitement was truly infectious. Of course, I have to mention how stunning Vivian looked...I loved her hair, Elaine Shobanjo of ShoMya did a beautiful job with the makeup and I loved the understated elegance of her dress. I thought she looked like a modern day Grace Kelly - very glamourous. Daniel is a very lucky man but I'm sure he knows that already. The couple were married in Ikeja at the Archbishop Vining Memorial Church Cathedral and the reception was held in the beautiful marquee tent at The Event Centre.
Thanks to my second shooter Ehi of Emuj Photography who did an awesome job. Vivian had mentioned that she had some excellent vendors and I definitely have to agree. One of the vendors that stood out to me was wedding planner Juyin Demuren of IJP Bespoke Events who did a wonderful job of co-ordinating the day. I especially love the set up of the marquee with lots of beautiful details, which were a joy to shoot. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a take charge wedding co-ordinator / event planner. The other was Ema Edosio of Wedding Bliss Productions - first of all, I had never seen a female wedding videographer in Nigeria and more importantly, I was truly impressed by her range of gear and her clear technical knowledge and ability. Plus I confess, I was rather impressed that she had just returned from film school in New York (very cool!). I saw a little bit of the final video she put together for Vivian & Daniel and it was really quite beautiful and touching - I found myself getting a little teary eyed, so I can just imagine how much the couple loved it. I now recommend her to all my brides looking for a videographer - so if you want someone who tells your love story beautifully through video, then it's definitely worth checking her out.
I am currently taking 2013 bookings, so if you are engaged (or are about to be ;-)) and are looking for a wedding photographer that can capture your wedding day in a beautiful, evocative yet relaxed way, I would love to hear from you today. Just drop me an email at wani@waniolatunde.com or using the contact form on this website. I would be honoured to help you celebrate and document your love story.
Have a fab week everyone. Enjoy the images.
Ciao
