A friend of mine referred Nneka to me and we clicked right away, so I was very glad when she decided to choose Wani Olatunde Photography to cover the white wedding in Lagos. For brides to be, I can't stress enough the importance of picking a photographer you get along with to cover your wedding; you'll be a lot more relaxed and trusting on your big day and this will make for much better images.
Anyway, Nneka and Agu met a while back through a mutual friend and spending time with them, it doesn't take one long to realise that they are best friends above everything else, which I personally think is a great way to begin married life. Agu proposed to Nneka back in June (after making sure to get permission from her father, of course) in an intimate setting with just the two of them in her living room. Not one for a long drawn out engagement, Nneka set to planning and you can actually follow her wedding planning journey over at her blog. I've had a looksee and there are some pretty handy tips if you are just starting out on the emotional rollercoaster that is wedding planning.
As always, I had a lot of fun shooting this wedding: Nneka and Agu are a super chilled couple who were a lot of fun to work with plus they are such a good looking couple, they made our jobs easy (so thanks guys :-)). It was a beautiful wedding and clearly a lot of thought had gone into planning each aspect of the day, which made for a truly enjoyable event for all their guests. I especially loved Nneka's surprise dance number for Agu, which was pretty awesome. It is also worth mentioning Ndidi Obioha of Enthyst Events who did an excellent job of co-ordinating everything on the day. A special thank you to my second shooter and photog pal Deji Atte, who actually got married the week before and I'm sure was able to give Agu some solid advice as grooms concerned.
I am currently taking bookings for weddings in 2013, so be sure to send me an email at email@example.com if you are engaged and looking for some beautiful, evocative, modern photography coverage for your special day. Ok enough chatting, time for some beautiful imagery...
