They had been friends for a few years now and so when she mentioned she was in town and wanted to go out, he thought nothing of it. But then when he went to pick her up and saw her standing at the top of the staircase all glammed up and ready for a night out, in one moment, everything changed. He knew she would no longer be "just a friend" but had suddenly become the woman that he was going to one day marry. It took a while but just over a year later on her birthday, surrounded by some of their closest friends, he proposed to the woman of his dreams and his best friend and she said...YES!
I absolutely love that Fran and GB had an intimate ceremony at the Oriental Hotel in Lekki, which was the very place GB first decided that Fran would be his wife <goosebumps>. The creative portraits were taken at Lagos' best kept secret, the Bon Voyage Hotel before heading back to Lekki to get the party started at The Bespoke Centre. There are so many details that I loved about this wedding from Fran's stunning rose wedding dress to the bridesmaids' gorgeous 50's inspired tea dresses and their equally fabulous updos. And of course GB looked particularly dapper in his black and white ensemble with his groomsmen completing the train with stylish bowties and just the right amount of swagger. Fabulous!
There's nothing I enjoy more than photographing two people madly in love, which is one of the reasons I love shooting weddings in Nigeria. Fran and GB's wedding day was filled with so much love, joy and laughter - it was a true pleasure to be part of their journey. A big thank you to my pal and second shooter Deji Atte of Deji A Photography who did a great job as and is always so much fun to shoot with.

Anyway, I'm here for utterly selfish reasons: You heard the prayer prayed on behalf of the "lady that caught the bouquet", right? Well, this is her!! I've come to remind you of the fact that my wedding (God willing) will hold around a month ago next year, I'm officially booking you in advance! No excuses. Full stop. You shall make me look good! 😀 Even if just half as good as Fran (she had "nature" do half the job), I shall be alright.
Oh, and my tomatoe soup (Toyin) has requested you as her official photographer too!! Please do create room for another booking around that time.. I can see weddings all arounddddd *dancing* and we must make sure to capture such special moments in style!
