WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQS)
I love working with modern romantics who resonate with my style of photography. With over 10 years of wedding photography experience, my couples can feel confident about booking a photographer who delivers beautiful, consistent images. No matter how bad the lighting, weather, location or situation, my couples know that their wedding photographs are completely taken care of.
I take on a limited number of weddings a year so each client has my full focus and have created a streamlined process so you can take comfort from knowing your wedding photography is being taken care of. Checking out a photographer's full portfolio is certainly the best way to understand your photographer’s style and capability. My blog showcases highlights of the weddings I shoot and when we meet up for your pre-wedding consultation, I will show you different styles of albums.
Your wedding date is not reserved until your retainer and signed contract are received. The retainer is a flat rate of £500. Please note this is NON-REFUNDABLE as it is payment for me marking my calendar off, which isn’t something I can do for free. The balance is due 14 days before the wedding date.
Most definitely. I'm based in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire but I'm able to photograph weddings in Buckingham, Bedford, Luton, Oxford, Cambridge, Bicester, Essex, Kent and London. I also cover all 3 counties of Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire.

Highly recommended! Engagement sessions are perfect for a number of reasons: First it helps you become more comfortable in front of the camera as well as with your photographer. It gives your photographer a chance to know you and how you photograph in terms of great angles etc. You'll also get beautiful and professional images you can use on your wedding website, "Save the Date" cards, e-vites, wedding signature frame, wedding signing book and souvenirs at the wedding reception to name a few.
At Wani Olatunde Photography, we believe deeply in the timelessness of printed products. If I had a penny for every time a client has come back to say they have lost their USB of images, I could probably retire. Potential loss of images aside, WOP is very much about creating heirloom printed products that you and your family can enjoy for decades to come.
I love the idea that every time you look through your wedding album, you get to remember why you love each other and share that love story with your family and loved ones. It isn't quite the same looking at a couple of images in your phone thrown in among your selfies and random phone pictures. So yes, I would highly recommend including a wedding album in your wedding photography budget.
Short answer: not if you have hired a professional photographer.
Longer answer? If you are working with a newbie photographer or someone doing you a favour - then yes it may help to provide a shot list. But any professional photographer is able to operate without a shot list and actually a shot list may list to missing unexpected moments. So hire someone you can trust to document your day and then simply let them do their job while you can focus on enjoying your celebration. #winwin
I'm always happy to hear your inspiration but please note you are hiring me for my style and the images you see on this website. If you like a different style, please hire a different photographer who suits that style. You'll (ok fine, we) will be much happier in the long run.
Absolutely! During the portraits sessions, I give simple directions that allow you both to find your rhythm. The most important goal always is to make sure you feel comfortable with what you are doing. The rest of the day, my team and I will simply be documenting the day as it unfolds so you can just focus on enjoying your day with your loved ones. We'll take good care of you, promise!
Yes, I always carry backup cameras, flashes and lenses. I am prepared for anything.🙂
I have a network of photographers with similar capability level who I can reach out to photograph on my behalf. You would also have the option of a full refund. But please note in 10 years of photographing weddings, I have yet to not to show up to a wedding! <knock on wood> so I don't expect this to happen.
This really depends on the size of your wedding and length of your wedding coverage. So anything from 500 to 2000 images. Either way, my team and I make sure we have your full day covered.
I know how eager you'll be to see your wedding images as soon as possible so I always share a little sneak peek within a few days of your wedding. The full set of images will then be ready for viewing within 8 weeks of your wedding date.
This completely depends on how long it takes you to choose your images. Once you select your pictures for your wedding album and signed off on the final design, I will place the order for your wedding album. You can expect to receive the final album within 8 weeks of signing off on the wedding album design.
I own the copyright as the wedding photographer. You receive your wedding images with a personal print release, which allows you to print and share your images. I retain the copyright of the images and we use the images on our website, social media accounts and for advertising purposes.
Yes, there is a flat fee of £3000 to buy the copyright to your wedding images. This means I give up all rights to use the images.
Yes - you will be able to make small prints from your digital images. However I do recommend for the best quality that prints larger than 8x10" inches are printed through WOP. This will ensure you have the right colours and a great quality archival print that will stand the test of time. Additional retouching is also included on any large prints or wall art printed through the studio.
