GETTING TO KNOW YOU

WHY SHOULD I CHOOSE WANI OLATUNDE PHOTOGRAPHY?
Couples decide to go with me because they are looking for a photographer who delivers beautiful, consistent images. No matter how bad the lighting, weather, or location, my couples know that their photographs are completely taken care of – and they’re booking me to have that confidence. So my pricing isn’t based so much on your final product, so much as client confidence, consistency, beautiful images and a great all around experience.

WHY SHOULD I HIRE YOU?

I'll be honest, if you are price shopping photographers for the cheapest available deal - I am definitely NOT the photographer for you. But if you want someone who will do everything in her power to make your wedding day amazing - then we should definitely talk. I've been doing this a long time now and focus on creating a streamlined process so you can take comfort from knowing your wedding photography is being taken care of. I'll be there to help you navigate key wedding photography and wedding timing decisions, help you plan your sessions and co-ordinate your schedule, make sure everyone is where they are supposed to be and photograph you and your fiance so your true love and emotions shine through. I take my job very seriously and my job isn't done until you have a beautiful wedding album filled with images that remind you of just how wonderful your wedding day was.

Most definitely. I'm based in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire but I'm able to photograph weddings in Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire and London. I'm also available to travel across the UK. Any travel and accommodation expenses would of course be covered by the client.

ARE YOU WILLING TO TRAVEL FOR MY DESTINATION WEDDING?

Absolutely!!! I love visiting new destinations with each wedding. So far my wedding photography has taken me all over the world. Some of the places I have photographed weddings included Washington DC, Jamaica, South Africa, Jamaica, Zimbabwe and Nigeria. To get a tailored quote for your specific destination, do get in touch via the contact form .

BEFORE THE WEDDING

DO I NEED AN ENGAGEMENT SHOOT?

It isn't necessary but I certainly highly recommend this. Engagement shoots are perfect for a number of reasons: First it helps you become more comfortable in front of the camera as well as with your photographer. It gives your photographer a chance to know you and how you photograph in terms of great angles etc. You'll also get beautiful and professional images you can use on your wedding website, "Save the Date" cards, e-vites, wedding signature frame, wedding signing book and souvenirs at the wedding reception to name a few.

DO I NEED A WEDDING ALBUM?

All our collections come inclusive with a wedding album. As a print only studio, Wani Olatunde Photography is all about creating heirloom printed products that you and your family can enjoy for decades to come. I love the idea that every time you look through your wedding album, you get to remember why you love each other and share that love story with your family and loved ones. It's a great reminder especially for those days when things aren't so rosy.

SHOULD I MAKE A SHOT LIST?

Short answer - NO!!!

Longer answer? If you are working with a newbie photographer or someone doing you a favour - then yes it may help to provide a shot list. But any professional photographer is able to operate without a shot list and actually a shot list may list to missed shots. So hire someone you can trust to document your day and then simply let them do their job while you can focus on enjoying your celebration.

SHOULD I MAKE A PINTEREST BOARD AND SEND TO YOU?

I'm always happy to hear your inspiration but please note you are hiring me for my style and the images you see on this website. If you like a different style, please hire a different photographer who suits that style. We shall both be happier in the long run.

MY FIANCE AND I HATE BEING PHOTOGRAPHED! CAN YOU HELP?

Absolutely! During the portraits sessions, I give simple directions that allow you both to find your rhythm. The most important goal always is to make sure you feel comfortable with what you are doing. The rest of the day, my team and I will simply be documenting the day as it unfolds so you can just focus on enjoying your day with your loved ones.

DO YOU CARRY SPARE EQUIPMENT?
Yes, I always carry backup cameras, flashes and lenses. I am prepared for anything. 🙂

WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU FALL SICK?

I have a network of photographers with similar capability level who I can reach out to photograph on my behalf. You would also have the option of a full refund. But please note in 10 years of photographing weddings, I have yet to not to show up to one. <knock on wood> so I don't expect this to happen.

HOW MANY IMAGES CAN I EXPECT?

This really depends on the size of your wedding and length of your wedding coverage. So anything from 500 to 2000 images. Either way, my team and I make sure we have your full day covered.

AFTER THE WEDDING

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE FOR MY WEDDING PICTURES TO BE READY?
I know how eager you'll be to see your wedding images as soon as possible so I always share a little sneak peek within a few days of your wedding. The full set of images will then be ready for viewing within 8 weeks of your wedding date.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO GET MY WEDDING ALBUM?

This completely depends on how long it takes you to choose your images. Once you select your pictures for your wedding album and signed off on the final design, I will place the order for your wedding album. You can expect to receive the final album within 8 weeks of signing off on the wedding album design.

WHEN DO I GET TO SEE MY WEDDING ALBUM?

This is entirely dependent on how quickly you are able to revert on choosing your images and signing off on the album design. On average, most clients will receive their wedding album(s) within 6 months of your wedding day.

SO I OWN THE IMAGES RIGHT?
As the wedding photographer, I will always own the copyright to any of the pictures I take. However if the wedding collection you select includes digital files, you will have printing rights included with these. This basically means you have permission to print, share and display the wedding images for non-commercial purposes. I do request that you credit when sharing images online or with social media.

WHO OWNS THE COPYRIGHT ON THE WEDDING PICTURES?

I own the copyright as the wedding photographer. You receive your wedding images with a personal print release, which allows you to print and share your images. I retain the copyright of the images and we use the images on our website, social media accounts and for advertising purposes.

CAN I BUY THE COPYRIGHT FOR MY WEDDING IMAGES FROM YOU?

Yes, there is a flat fee of £3000 to buy the copyright to your wedding images. This means I give up all rights to use the images.

CAN I PRINT MY WEDDING PICTURES FROM THE DIGITAL FILES?

Yes - you will be able to make small prints from your digital images. However I do recommend that for prints larger than 8x10", I print them for you allowing me to ensure your print is adequately calibrated and matches exactly the original image you saw on the screen. I also offer additional retouching on the images I print.

DO YOU PHOTOGRAPH ONLY WEDDINGS?

No! Portraiture is a significant part of my business and this includes engagement, maternity, baby, children and family shoots. I also shoot a limited number of events including birthdays and corporate events.
