Well this initially started off as a maternity session with Mrs O. but when the family saw how much fun she was having, they decided they wanted to join in as well. It was an early morning session (like birds singing early morning) but you'd never tell the way Mrs O. worked the camera. Absolutely gorgeous mama who I'm glad to say now has an equally gorgeous little girl. Congratulations and can't wait to get my hands on the little lady for her own photoshoot - enjoy. 🙂

Hola amigos - happy Wednesday!

Just a quick one today - we have beautiful Mrs S on the bloggity. Due to logistics, this was a relatively quick shoot at her place and so it's a little different to my usual shooting style but still quite happy with how they turned out. Happy to say this bumpalicious mama is now a yummy mummy with a beautiful baby boy. Don't you just love his nursery - lucky little fella 🙂

Maternity Shoot with Mrs A in London Town

There is nothing more amazing than the bond between a mother and an unborn child. Now anyone who knows me will tell you that being pregnant was certainly not my favourite phase of life but even with all my aches and pains, nothing gave me more joy than to spend time talking and singing to my unborn son, feeling him kick and knowing that I was doing my part to bring a brand new human being into the world. I love maternity photography because I get to capture a very special and joyous moment in a woman's life - it is the beginning of a life long relationship and an unbreakable bond with her child. For me, and I'm sure for a lot of other new mothers, carrying and nurturing my son was the first time I truly understood the meaning of unconditional love. I don't get to shoot as many sessions as I would like here in Nigeria due to social norms but I am certainly grateful when I get an opportunity to bear witness to such a beautiful moment in my client's life.

For the sake of privacy, let's call this bumpalicious mama Mrs A - all you need to know is that she's gorgeous (on the inside and out), she could still fit into a size 10 dress (UK not US) even when she was pregnant (so jealous!!!) and she rocked that bump (love!!!). Hope you enjoy the images. To see the full shoot, be sure to check out the slideshow at the bottom of the post - it's one of those times that the shoot, theme and song all came together perfectly to create a deliciously beautiful story.

Nigeria Maternity Photographer || Bumpalicious Tomi

So this is another one from the archives - it was the first maternity shoot I ever did and three days later, I found out I was "with child", so it ended up being the last and only shoot in 2011. I am shamefaced to say that I am only now editing these images and the bump has indeed celebrated his 1st birthday (check it out here). Luckily Tomi is my sister in law and happens to be a very understanding lady .

As you can see from the images below, Tomi is incredibly photogenic and I have to admit I was slightly jealous when editing these images as I don't think pregnancy suited me quite as well. Anyway, enough talk - here are a few of my favourite images from the session. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

P.S: I'm trying a different way of watermarking my images - let me know if you prefer this to actually having the watermark on the image.
